Fake Pagans.
Can't live with them, and yes we could easily live without them.

Welcome to Playgans the psychotic rantings of the Exhibit A: [Delladreing]. Formed out of sheer madness and frustration Playgans was born out of a love for religion and genuine faith, mixed in with a healthy dosage of psychosis and religious zeal enough to make even the most devout fundamentalist feel ashamed.

The rant began in the year of 2004 and is still going strong. During this time Playgans has come under fire and been branded as a "hate site", Dela herself has been tainted with the foulness of such accusations.
The aim of Playgans was never to incite or promote religious hatred. The aim of Playgans was to educate the masses, the fakers found on the web, and to give those serious about their faith in the pagan world a place to come and have a bit of a chat. So far it has been working well and we now have a wider branch of readers than we ever had before. The fact that the site contains a lot of references to violence, and psychosis does not mean that the content found within is hate mongering. It is merely [Delladreing]'s style of writing. And mindset. (Heh.)

At this point she would like to thank all of those that have shown her project such support. Had there not been so much support and loyalty from readers she would have allowed Playgans to fade away a long time ago. Thank you to all of you :)

2005-09-24 [Rondel]: Happy Equinox! May all of our lives know the blessing of balance; likewise, instead of stasis, may it be a dynamic balance, found through constant fluid adjustment, just as it is in our solar cycle. :) And may the growing or shrinking days (depending on which side of the planet you're on) be joyous and productive, and may the nights filled with creativity, and introspective wisdom (or wise introspection, take your pick). :) And for you, Skydancer, and any others who need it, may they be a time of healing; for all, may they be a time of inner or outer growth.

2005-09-24 [sequeena_rae]: Aaaw [Rondel] you're such a star! *hugs* Happy Equinox to you also :)

2005-10-04 [Azuri]: yesh yay! jumpdrives are a pain not enough room to move my stuff off the other computer-_-'

2005-10-05 [Rondel]: Thank you, [Fuu]. I am glad you like the song. :D You might want to send a message of appreciation to its primary author (and composer), [BarleySinger]. As a special bonus, if you visit his House page, you'll get to see the links to more of his music, including the lyrics which are on his poetry page. :) I don't disclaim my own responsibility for the song, I'm glad to take credit for it, but I'm more concerned that the composer get credit (and the strokes any musician/artist needs, and which are harder to get when you can't go to your audience). :D Regardless, thanks for the feedback!

2005-10-08 [sequeena_rae]: *looks at you closely* I think you is

2005-10-08 [Rondel]: A) Constant Comment is an orange spiced black tea (with caffeine), not an herb tea (or tisane). It used to be my mother's favourite; it does smell good, but it's not really my speed. If I'm going to drink a spiced black tea, I prefer jasmine spice. B) Drinking herb teas at random to try to help an illness is about as good an idea as taking random drugs off of the drugstore shelf; most herbs are a bit safer, but some can "help" in a way that exacerbates symptoms at a given point in an illness (like causing sinuses to drain when the problem is a runny nose). C) I can guarantee you at least one person here hasn't read all the books in question. I'm not even sure which ones they are.

2005-10-08 [Delladreing]: Eh, I'm being made to eat onion soup by my mother in the battle againt this cold *coughs and splutters* it has helped I think, I am vaguely able to breathe x.x

2005-10-08 [sequeena_rae]: My mother tried shoving that down me before the doctor said I needed plenty of water so now my bladder is the size of China

2005-10-08 [Delladreing]: *chuckles* could always be worse

2005-10-08 [sequeena_rae]: With ecoli? Right now I don't think so >.< but at least I'm not on the recieving end of all them onions :p

2005-10-08 [Delladreing]: ....tocuhe

2005-10-08 [sequeena_rae]: *bows* thank you

2005-10-08 [Delladreing]: :p

2005-10-08 [sequeena_rae]: Who's the ringleader now eh with the tongue poking? hehe :p

2005-10-08 [Delladreing]: my tongue is always poking :p

2005-10-08 [sequeena_rae]: That just sounded naughty Miss Dela

2005-10-08 [Delladreing]: I know

2005-10-08 [sequeena_rae]: XD

2005-10-08 [Delladreing]: hehe

2005-10-08 [Rondel]: Onion soup (usually with garlic & a touch of cayenne) is one of our household home remedies against colds. Does wonders to break up all that plegm, & the onions & garlic contain natural sulfur compounds which help the body detoxify. Not to mention that "colds" were named that for a reason, & heating up that "internal cold" is one of the ways that onion soup helps. Of course, I'm not talking about CANNED onion soup, here -- I'm talking homemade organic onion soup. The other would help, some, but... *shrugs* ...like anything non-organic, it's going to add to the toxic load which is making your body work harder in its fight for health. Water (or rather, absorbable fluids) is also vital.

2005-10-08 [sequeena_rae]: tsk tsk I am ashamed of you!

2005-10-08 [Delladreing]: *nods* took the words right outa my mouth Rondel :), and ppftt Sequeena :p

2005-10-08 [sequeena_rae]: Nicely said [Rondel] pfft to you too XD

2005-10-08 [Rondel]: You can't wash toxins (including those produced by dying micro-organisms killed by your immune system) out of your body without fluids with which to wash/purge them out. But it *does* work better if you can fully absorb the liquid, which means that (while it's still essential that you drink clear fluids, not milk or something like that) pure water isn't actually quite as effective as water with a small splash of juice, or even a teaspoon of sugar per glass -- the slight addition of carbohydrates makes the water more absorbable by the body. I learned that from a medic when I had heat illness, but I've learned more about it since in other contexts. Don't go for straight juice, or sugary

2005-10-08 [sequeena_rae]: Oh thanks I'll have a go at that ^_^

2005-10-08 [Rondel]: drinks -- those are TOO sweet, they'll actually DEhydrate you, sucking water out of your body as the osmosis process tries to balance the concentration in the drink -- about 1/8 strength apple juice is good, or a glass of water with a teaspoon of lemon juice (a TINY bit of sugar is acceptable, but your goal is NOT lemonade, here). And, don't let your bladder get the size of the Pacific, either -- go every time it gets full, or you'll reabsorb toxins out of the fluid in your bladder while you're storing it up waiting for a more convenient time. People forget (or don't know) how much toxic material is produced when infectious organisms die -- hence the need to detox as part of recovery. :)

2005-10-08 [sequeena_rae]: Oh okay *has information overload* I have to go every half hour or so anyway

2005-10-08 [Rondel]: As for GOOD teas to use, try something with lemongrass in it (like Celestial Seasonings' Lemon Zinger) if you need to dry up a runny nose; it's got several useful herbs for respiratory illness in it, including that decongestant lemon grass, rose hips for vitamin C, hibiscus (slips my mind what it's good for, but it's in the list of medicinally active ingredients), etc. For tummies, usually my recommendation is chamomile and mint (be careful of chamomile if you've got hayfever, the pollen can cause problems), both of which are in Celestial Seasonings' Sleepytime.

2005-10-08 [Rondel]: I find that knowing there are useful brand name herb teas helps a lot of people who otherwise don't have access to medicinal herbal teas. (There are equivalents to each of those in the other most common herb tea brand, too, but again, the brand name has slipped my mind at the moment. I used to drink it all the time, though.) Also, FWIW, those two teas are not bad when mixed -- for flu (respiratory and tummy symptoms together), I tend to make a pot with one teabag of each in it. Honey is a useful medicinal in its own right, so I prefer to sweeten slightly with it, rather than sugar (an immune system depressant). Raw local honey is also good for desensitizing against pollen allergies.

2005-10-08 [sequeena_rae]: I've got chammomile downstairs so I'll try that for my stomach

2005-10-08 [Rondel]: Basically, the honey works because when we ingest things (eat them), our intestines tag the absorbed material as "food, do not attack", in a message to our immune systems. Since allergies are basically the immune system attacking the allergen as if it were a foreign invader (as opposed to sensitivities, which can simply be a reaction to a toxin at a lower dose than average), tagging it by eating the pollen in the honey causes the body to stop reacting against it. I know someone whose pine allergy was treated using this principle, with pine needle tea. Sorry about the information overload -- I'm told that's common with my posts. This stuff works quite effectively, understood or not. :)

2005-10-08 [sequeena_rae]: It's fine :)

2005-10-08 [Rondel]: I still can't remember that other common herb tea brand (I think it starts with a B), but I know that the equivalent of "Sleepytime" in that brand is "Sweet Dreams". It's the other standard herb tea brand you can get at any restaurant that offers herb tea, that's why I used to know this stuff -- I can't have chocolate, coffee, or anything with caffeine, so when it came to hot drinks, I had to know my herb teas. :D (Well, that, and as you can tell, I use this stuff medicinally; I don't tolerate many standard medications, so the herbs are my preferred pharmacy.)

2005-10-08 [sequeena_rae]: I'm not really a fan of herb teas that much but my auntie just brought me back some fruit tea granule things from Turkey, they look okay but theres one for sex...What the hell should I do with that? o_O

2005-10-08 [Rondel]: One other thing about chamomile -- it's very soothing, a (VERY) mild sedative, which is why the tea blends which include it have names like "Sweet Dreams" and "Sleepytime"; so, be warned, it may make you a little dozy, especially if you're tired to begin with (as people often are when they're sick -- the body's repair cycle works more effectively when we're sleeping). But this stuff's pretty useful in that respect, too; I'm far from the only mother to have given my baby chamomile/mint tea blends when she had colic; it soothes the irritated digestive tract and the irritated child, both, allowing the irritated mother and child to both get some much needed rest. ;)

2005-10-08 [Rondel]: Of course, fennel seed's good for colic too, as with other types of GI irritation (such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome/Spastic Colon). Anyway, the point is that the stuff is both safe and effective, or I wouldn't have given it to an infant in that state. As for the sex herb tea, maybe you could give it to a friend (the kind of friend who'll understand it's not a come-on)? *shrug*

2005-10-08 [Rondel]: Dammit, now my brain is stuck on trying to remember that herb tea brand. LOL I can *see* the damn packets in my head, but I can't quite read the name. -- wait, there it is! Bigelow! *dances with relief that she won't be up half the night trying to remember this, or wake up in mid-sleep crying out the brand name...* LOL

2005-10-08 [sequeena_rae]: I was so shocked, you'd never expect your auntie to buy stuff like that for you *shakes head* this tea is quite nice actually

2005-10-08 [Rondel]: Anyway, hugs and greetings back at y'all, sorry to have pre-empted your tongue-fest, we now return you to your regularly scheduled conversation. *grin*

2005-10-08 [sequeena_rae]: hehe and so the randomness shall reign again I suppose? Yay!

2005-10-08 [Azuri]: Oo I missed a shit load of stuff...can anyone summerize it for me cause im so not readin it.

2005-10-08 [Delladreing]: Rondel giving good health advice on herbs/ teas and various other things.

2005-10-09 [a faerie tale]: hehehe..thank you Nightmare! *glomps* a star! *sticks into onto her forehead, and sits with a pleased look on her face* :D

2005-10-09 [sequeena_rae]: *sneaks up and grabs star* MY STAR!! ehehe

2005-10-09 [Delladreing]: ah, I love my wikis. So many strange people gravitate to them

2005-10-09 [a faerie tale]: Delaaaaaaah she...she...she...Stole my star!!! Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! :(

2005-10-09 [Delladreing]: awww honey *gives you a new star*

2005-10-09 [sequeena_rae]: But the star was so purty ^_^

2005-10-09 [Delladreing]: you still dont steal things from people :p

2005-10-09 [sequeena_rae]: I never steal! I...Borrow!!

2005-10-09 [Delladreing]: without asking?

2005-10-09 [sequeena_rae]: umm....Yesh? *cough* now seriously can an 18 year old be a wiccan priest?

2005-10-09 [Delladreing]: ....well unless they had reached an extemely high rank by the time they were 15 no o.O

2005-10-09 [sequeena_rae]: Well the person I'm talking to says he was brought up with it so maybe thats it?

2005-10-09 [Delladreing]: yes but most covens dont initiate their kids to such a high level so young for "ethical" reasons

2005-10-09 [sequeena_rae]: Hmm...Me smells a rat

2005-10-09 [Delladreing]: *nods* i mean it could be possible...but i seriosuly doubt it. im 18 and in the wicca group i am part of- even though im not wiccan it would take me a few more years to rise to the rank of high priestess...

2005-10-09 [sequeena_rae]: yes I understand now and he even spelled priest as preast XD

2005-10-09 [Delladreing]: lmao

2005-10-09 [sequeena_rae]: I know it sounds like a chicken doesn't it?

2005-10-09 [Delladreing]: i'd say it sounds more like bull to me

2005-10-09 [Delladreing]: whats the name?

2005-10-09 [a faerie tale]: *sticks new star on forehead* I'm sorry, whats going on?

2005-10-09 [JWOlette]: wow he thinks hes a high priest ive been studying to become one for years and i still have a long way to go there is no way he reached that level your not a adult untill your 13 thats when you participate in rituals and such but no coven would put that responsablity on someone unless they hav been in the coven for many years

2005-10-09 [a faerie tale]: Hehe...I've got a long way to go before I'm even considered high priestess material.

2005-10-09 [a faerie tale]: I don't really think I'll ever be that highly ranked. But a girl can dream...*_*

2005-10-09 [JWOlette]: you never know what will come true if you put your mind to it

2005-10-09 [sequeena_rae]: hhmm....[Lucivar 6907] I think

2005-10-09 [Rondel]: Depends on the tradition, actually. The question I'd be asking is "what do you mean by 'priest' in this context?" Because many Wiccans hold that a 1st degree initiate is still a priest/ess, only to themselves. A 2nd degree (within those traditions) is a priest/ess to others within their coven or tradition, and a 3rd degree is a priest/ess to all, much like a military chaplain ministering to all regardless of their individual faiths. If he differentiates between "priest" and "High Priest", that may be a clue. But remember, Wicca is a rather varied set of beliefs lumped together under one name. Beware of those who tell you flatly "yes" or "no" based on their own version of Wicca. :S

2005-10-09 [Delladreing]: *nods* my htoughts exactly, but if he means "traditional wicca" then i seriosuly doubt it. By law you have to be 18 to participate in some of the rituals practiced by the heirarchy.

2005-10-09 [Delladreing]: Lots of people *claim* such a title so they can get members of their own coven to sleep with them sayings its the "Rite"

2005-10-09 [sequeena_rae]: *is disgusted*

2005-10-09 [Delladreing]: my thoughts exactly, it happens rarely, but it has been known to happen >.<

2005-10-09 [sequeena_rae]: Cults do that don't they?

2005-10-09 [Rondel]: Also remember that one Wiccan's "priest" is another's rank novice. *sigh* Point is, standards vary wildly from group to group. And, spelling (the kind where you get the letters of a word in the right order) is not a requirement of the priesthood, though failure to spell the word itself does indicate that the person isn't likely to have been writing it often in a serious context. The kid may be "high priest" - in a group that many more serious Wiccans would be ashamed to acknowledge as co-religionists. That's one of the problems with Wicca's diversity. Ellen Reed has an excellent essay on the subject, on her site.

2005-10-09 [Rondel]: Speaking of such practises, and of Ellen Cannon Reed, she's got a good song on the subject, too: Every Witch's Shame. You can see/hear it at http://willow.creative-interweb.com/old_site/PagMusic/ - just look for it by title.

2005-10-09 [Azuri]: *reads threw everything* Wow...So some people are just screwy.

2005-10-09 [Delladreing]: they are indeed

2005-10-09 [Azuri]: Its a shame we cant run a crusade on the stupid people of the world.Id very much like to be apart of that. Then again sometimes we need stupid people so they can do our bidding^.^

2005-10-09 [Delladreing]: ...yes...can't <.<      >.> i dont have a band of followers who help me stalk the stupid people and execute them.....yes...i mean no...cant do that..... >.>

2005-10-09 [Azuri]: Lol Of course not Dela Its all free will there not like we are forced to follow^.^

2005-10-09 [Delladreing]: hehe true :p

2005-10-09 [Azuri]: Heh Gee Who would have thought copying all my cds onto my computer would take so freakin long>.<
