2006-11-26 [Zab]: No, that's not what I meant.. but for example in houses you can use animated gif. if you have made them yourself (and if they're not annoying)you may use them even tho animated gifs normally isn't accepted. Maybe something like that could apply to animated emotes as well. I don't know if they're completely forbidden to use among your private ones or just won't be accepted among the public emotes. That's all I meant :)

2006-11-28 [Yuriona]: I think if you made the animated moods yourself and they aren't too annoying then they're ok to use in the private emotions. You are allowed to have animated images on ET as long as they were made by you or for you and aren't huge and annoying.

2006-11-28 [Zab]: Yes..but that only goes for houses..on wikis you can have any animated image.. right? So the moods might be a bit special.. well, I agree huge and annoying moods shouldn't be used anyway.. or maybe it should just depend on where you use it; messages, chat wikis, official wikis, forums etc..O__o
Well, I assume common sence is the best rule untill it's certain that we need stricter ones:P

Only the Council can put emotions on the public emotions list. For private emotions you are allowed to put own made and free to use images on the list.

2006-11-30 [Sunrose]: All images on houses have to follow the Uploading Art Rules. That means you can only put images there that you made or that were made specifically for you (by a friend or so).
Elftown Graphics and moods from the moodspage are allowed too, because they were made by Elftowners for Elftowners.
Other images aren't allowed..

2006-12-03 [Sunrose]: You could make them bigger yes, but Elftown will resize them to the size I gave (at least if they were uploaded to the moodspage). Which would make the images pretty ugly, which would most likely mean they will not be accepted.
And to answer the sizematter: I don't think we should have public emotions that are huge, considering some people already have trouble loading the smaller ones.
