Horse photo reference competition

This competition has ended. Please submit more horse photos on Horse Reference Pictures!

The goal of this competition is to create a huge library of free photos of horses. Few animals are depicted as much as horses, but it is still hard to find horses in different positions and from different angles, and the photos are seldom free to use in your art.

The current photos are on Horse Reference Pictures (or below).

Rules

§1 Submit the photos by adding a link to an Elftown wiki-page at the bottom of this page. All the images must be uploaded to Elftown. If you go to your house and press "upload a folder of images", you'll get a nice page automatically.

§2 If you have many pages, place them together and arrange them as well as possible. All the pages will be counted as your work and the more the better!

§3 You must have taken the photos.

§4 By submitting the images here, you agree on letting them to be free for any kind of usage. Elftown will incite people to tell that the images are from you and Elftown, but we'll not enforce that. So the images might be used for homepages, for photo-manipulations and drawing references.

§5 If there are humans on the photos, they should have given express permission to be displayed here.

§6 No horses or humans should be hurt because of your photographing them. And please don't kill yourself while crawling under horses either!

§7 Deadline: 2007-02-15 (Might change)

§8 The pages you submit must be exported. (Of course. Otherwise people would copy them to other webpages and neither Elftown nor you would get any credit for them.)

Winning

The Elftown crew will select the winner, and if you make a good page (regardless of winning or not) you'll get this nice badge:

"Equinógrafo" is Spanish for "horsograph" or something like that.
And you'll get your name on top of Horse Reference Pictures, of course.

What we want are photos that are useful for artists. The photos should be pretty big, as sharp as possible and contain little more than the horse(s) and maybe its rider or wagon. We want many kinds of horses, but more important is that we have shots on everything a horse does and from all angles.

Your photos will be ranked higher if they are unique. So here is a short list of examples of what to shoot: from above, under, front, from the side front, from the side, from the back side and straight from behind: The horse can be standing, lying, walking, turning, rising up, falling, standing on its back legs, landing after a jump, walking on three legs after an injury, giving birth, hugging another horse, climbing a cliff, shitting...

Note: The poll below and the judge [Hedda] very much agreed on the order, and even if it was hard to judge, I'm very confident that the 6 top submissions also are the 6 best.
