2005-10-21 [Forever Equine]: Well on Deviant Art, I'm part of a lot of horse clubs and a unicorn club. The had a contest for a halloween unicorn so I drew it to mainly go with that contest theme. I figured It'd be nice to join here as well. With all the onther great entries I don't believe I will win but it's fun to join in fun contests to see everyone's elses talent!

2005-10-24 [Charybdis]: Yes, everyone can make wikis, but having wiki-privs gives you the ability to upload pictures, or in the case of a lower priv sound files and things like that, directly to a wiki-page instead of to your house. That means you can upload transparent .gifs (like if you want to donate to Elftown Graphics ^^), and also there's no real size limit, so you don't necessarily have to shrink your pictures to upload them. There's more about them on advanced help :)

2005-10-24 [shotokan_gal]: Note to participants: the rules have been clarified with regard to photomanipulation, which falls under photography (note: for this particular contest). Entries 10 and 21 will be given some time to replace their entries, though they may of course still enter a piece before the deadline if their own are removed before they get a chance. Also, while we accept not everyone has a scanner, entries 3, 11 and 23 need to be correctly cropped to not show the edges of the paper. Thankyou :)

Can't really teach smooth shading, heh.. it just comes ^_^ I think you shouldn't change your style, because I think your picture has all the smoothness it needs :) I wouldn't add or change anything

2005-10-27 [Forever Equine]: Well for the eye, you can take a solid color, set the opactiy at about 60, then dodge tool the center. It will look more glowing. The dodge tool could also work to highlight your blade.
