So if you look at the EPRM page, it will tell you what sessions are open, and if you click the links for the sessions, you can see what the themes are. Current themes include medical supplies, musical equiptment, food & drink, etc. Look through the open EPRM sessions before you submit photos here, because the theme of one of the open sessions might be perfect for your photos. If you want to submit, say, photos of your dog, and we're not running an EPRM session with the theme 'dogs,' you can submit them here anyway. If you only ever submit photos to this page and don't ever submit the photos to EPRM sessions, you can never win a session! :(

The four current themes are these:
Full body shots,
Medical supplies,
Textures, &
Food and drink.
The images that you submitted on this page do not fit any of those themes. Therefore, you were right to submit them here. When one of the Photo Bosses has the time, we will add your photos to the proper Reference Pictures category.
I think that the confusion here is that you're mixing up Reference Pictures with the EPRM. They are two different things. The EPRM, or Elftown Photo Reference Marathon, is a contest, or a competition. It's just like submitting a photo, or multiple photos in a wiki, to a contest with the hopes that your photos will be the best ones that are submitted to that contest for the given theme.
Reference Pictures is where we store these photos once the EPRM sessions have closed and a winner has been chosen via public poll. No one but Photo Bosses may add photos to Reference Pictures pages because we have a certain way of doing it that involves a lot of formating. Therefore, you may only add your photos to either this page; when your photos do not fit an open EPRM theme, or else directly to an EPRM session page. In the case of the latter, you would edit the EPRM session page exactly like you did for this one. So if you take pictures of a sandwich you made, and upload them to a wiki page, you could then click the EPRM Food and Drink link and then edit that page to say;

Many of the photos in the River Reference wiki were far too blurry, so I only added the clear ones. Our rules have recently changed to exclude very blurry photos from Reference Pictures.

2012-01-19 [Ravendust]: I have a question... I want to do a baby reference page... Some of which take place pretty soon after birth- nothing graphic... Worst thing you see is the cord attached to the baby's belly button... These photos were taken by my husband and mother... I'm wondering if I could use them in the reference photos in a folder dedicated to the growth of an infant (from birth to 7 months at this point). I know I, myself, have wanted to draw babies in the past, and couldn't ever really find good reference images... And I've noticed there really aren't any baby photos, either...
Another question- everyone in the photos (except me when I manage to either get a picture of myself or have one taken of me) are family (and doctors) none of which are elftowners... I've been given permission to use the images- nothing written at this point... Do I need to find a way to do that?

I think that as long as they're family and friends, and you have their permission, you wouldn't need a model-release form. Are you very sure about the doctor(s), though, that they're fine with having their image used in any way by anyone? Of course, you could always note on the page that the images are not to be used to depict, violence, sexual themes, hate, etc.

Hopefully the random nature pictures work -- they should be good enough quality. They're much nicer than my old phone's quality. ^^
