| Okay, I have given this application idea considerable thought and for a considerable time, at least a year. Many of you know me around Elftown, many don't. I'm pretty easy to get along with and I'm always willing to help as long as I understand what's expected of me. Some of you know how involved I am on www.elf12.com , another one of [Hedda]'s sites, except Elf12's focus is around children, twelve years of age and younger, along with their parents, guardians, and older siblings. |
| I am not going to request any specific position, because I do not know in what areas help would be needed the most. Three things to keep in mind, however, are: Polls, Guards, and RPG-ing. Polls don't seem to like me setting them up and with [Yuriona]'s patient help, I'm still learning about and how to follow through with the various Guard tasks. I have never gotten involved with RPG-ing and it holds no interest for me, but I certainly don't mind, if others do. However, I am an eager learner, as long as someone doesn't mind explaining clearly any ropes I may need to learn. I guess I'd have to be, if one were aware of the fact that I didn't even know how to turn a computer on or off before February, 2005! I joined Elftown in March of 2005 and now I consider it to be my online home! Borrowing any unforeseen forces, I plan on sticking around for a long time to come! I'm a firm believer in respect, which means I am glad to be a part of this community. Therefore, I respect the rules here and I respect all those that have poured their time and effort into making Elftown a great community. If I can assist in the continuation of this mission/goal, I would be glad and honoured to do so. I also believe that any task worth doing, is worth doing right, not just to get it done. |
| Hmm...this part is a little uncomfortable for me, the part where I tell what I am a part of, can do, yada-yada... for it means I have to do a little horn tooting, so to speak and I'm not into this horn tooting business too much, but, here goes: I'm an active participator in Elftown Competitions, both writing and art, and I enjoy it immensely to boot. I am one of the Halloween Poets, Halloween Painters, Christmas Poets, Christmas Painters, Saint Valentine Painters, and one of the Saint Valentine Poets. I am one of the Master Poets, Donors of Art, Donors of Funds, Donors of Writing and one of the Masters Of Building. I am one of the Millipedes for donating, thus far, over 6000 images for Elftown Graphics, which can be found on Elftown Graphics *Artsie_ladie*. I love being creative! I've helped out a little with the Elftown Creature Marathon, an ongoing project, a series of competitions, which aspires to enable Elftown to have the best possible informative wiki-pages about different creatures on the net! Woot! |

| 2010-06-24 Note: I do not regret all that I have done for this site, because I always enjoyed whatever I did here for the community, but let's just say, if I had known back then when I created this page, what I know now, I would have NEVER created this page OR applied for any crew here. The rewards are so wonderful that you just don't want them! Hindsight IS 20/20 and the two people here I was eventually made aware of that I was caught between at THEIR DOING BETWEEN THEM, not mine, resulted in rippling repercussions which I never saw or anticipated, but I was used as the scapegoat to pay for these! It's amazing how someone so dedicated, committed, and passionate as I was, can be made into someone that was then viewed as obsessive and perceived as one that was only involved for myself and was then ultimately stripped of everything. Not for doing anything wrong, but for doing everything the right way and making sure things got done with painstaking care as to how they were done as well! But all of this has taught me a very valuable lesson, one which I will not soon forget, but I surely wish I could magically wake up and I would have forgotten it all. I forgive the person for starting this whole mess, but forgetting is much, much harder. But I do understand at least somewhat, why he went the route he did. I don't necessarily agree with it, but agreement is not paramount for understanding. |

I'm smart and I'm good at making wiki pages and I want to learn more and be involved in "official" stuff. I think the best way to do that is to apply to the crew, but I'm not sure where to start. If you could help me that'd be great and I'd love it! I have April's Application for Crew. Please check it out.
