2007-12-08 [Hendercrazy]: Welcome to the Spazznik_Comic Wiki! :D

2007-12-11 [Hendercrazy]: Update: Hello there and thanks for tuning-in! *waves* :) I'm new to this whole wiki creation thing so you'll have to bare with me. It'll be just as much of an experiment as the Spazznik comic strip will be. XD I do look to improve them both as I go along. We'll see how that goes I guess. :P In any event, the Spazznik logo is now finished and up. Please make yourselves at home and if you guys have any comments, questions or whatever... feel free to drop them here. I'll try to respond to them when I can. Thanks! :D - Derek

2007-12-11 [organicparadox]: your style is sooo throwback man, love it. looking forward to seeing more of this spazznik:)

2007-12-12 [Hendercrazy]: Thanks OP! :)

2007-12-12 [nathie]: hah - i watch it now! :)

2007-12-13 [Hendercrazy]: Welcome Nathie! :)

2007-12-14 [Paul Doyle]: Oooh . . . *watches*

2007-12-15 [Hendercrazy]: Hello Paul! :)

2007-12-17 [travs the bean]: looking forward to seeing it d- keep me informed

2007-12-19 [Hendercrazy]: Travster! :D I'll do that my friend. ;)

2007-12-19 [nathie]: hah - i just tried to make the comic panel dance and sing for me in office. it works - if you just made the office chair go round fast enough! woot!

2007-12-19 [Hendercrazy]: :P

2007-12-19 [Paul Doyle]: I just had an interesting visual light up in my brain: Spazznik waking up in the dead of night jolted awake with a charlie horse leg-cramp. Random, I know :3

2007-12-19 [Hendercrazy]: XD That's a good one! Hey... don't be surprised if that sneaks in somewhere Paul. ;) So far, I've about 100 strips floatin' around the ol' brain now. :)

2007-12-19 [nehirwen]: this Spazznik comic sounds cool, I'm certainly going to watch this wiki! :)

2007-12-19 [Hendercrazy]: Greetings Nehirwen! :D

2007-12-19 [nehirwen]: thank you Hendercrazy, *waves* :)

2007-12-20 [TheRogue]: i've so wanted to do an online comic.. :D

2007-12-20 [Hendercrazy]: What's up Rogue! :)

2007-12-20 [TheRogue]: what's up my brotha from anotha motha!!

2007-12-20 [nathie]: haha, whenever i see medieval guys i think of crusaders and sheep, btw. >.< it is in the german reenactment groups a running joke: whenever a "crusader" runs through a camp, 90% of the people make "baaa baaa" >.<

2007-12-25 [Hedda]: It's coming first in 2008?!? We have to wait an "entire" year! <img:http://www.cathug.com/kittyemo_scared.gif>

Well, it will be great fun if it keeps on going. <img:stuff/dand-gif.gif>

2007-12-25 [Hendercrazy]: Yes, a great test of patience Hedda! ;) Glad to see you here! :D

2007-12-29 [Hendercrazy]: Update: I believe I've finally figured out my Fire Wire cable issue to convert my scanner over from my Mac to my PC... but it's going to require a special order cable and have a nice little price tag to go along with it. In addition, it's non-refundable and I have to pay for it in advance. << Go figure. So, it looks like I'll be ordering it this coming Friday (Jan. 4th) when I get paid from work. Hopefully, it'll arrive the following week after that. Barring any other wackiness, it shouldn't be too much longer before my scanner comes to life. Then I can start scanning in some Spazznik comics to color and letter. :D - Derek

2008-01-03 [organicparadox]: if that's all that is holding you back, then i can't wait to see ole spazz in action:)

2008-01-04 [scars of winter rain]: im phsyced, this looks awesome

2008-01-14 [Nocturnaliss]: Man, it's taking so long. Can't waaaaaaaait to see Spazznik in action, man. XD (so I'm not patient, sue me << XD)

2008-01-14 [Perplexity]: Waiting impatiently... no pressure. =)

2008-01-15 [Hendercrazy]: Thanks guys! :D I've still been writing and drawing on the strips. As soon as I get this scanner cable thing out of the way... it's all coloring, lettering and posting them up from there. ;) Also... a big welcome to everyone new here!

2008-01-29 [nathie]: aaw gods he is so sweet with the heart on the chest. i have to adopt him! :)

2008-01-29 [Hendercrazy]: Lol! We'll see if you still feel that way once the strip gets going. XD XD XD

2008-01-29 [nehirwen]: ohh he is sweet indeed xD

2008-01-29 [XxTsomexX]: Woah that looks awesome!! Can't wait 'till its up!!

2008-01-31 [Dark Side of the Moon]: Lookin' good m'lad! *two thumbs up*

2008-02-03 [Perplexity]: Very nice teaser pic. Now hurry up and get the rest of the comic posted!

2008-02-03 [Hendercrazy]: Working on it dear Plex... wooorking on it!!! << :P XD I just honestly never fathomed the idea that I'd have this many folks already tuned-in so soon and waiting for the launch. O_O

2008-02-03 [Hedda]: I hope you launch it with a trebuchet! <img100*0:stuff/trebuchet.jpg>

2008-02-04 [Dark Side of the Moon]: That should git 'r done! ;)

2008-02-05 [sensei phil]: this stuff looks great!

2008-02-05 [Hendercrazy]: Thanks Edward! :) A big welcome to you and all of the recent newcomers to Spazznik. The fun will officially begin on February 10th as the first strip finally finds it's way to this wiki!

2008-02-05 [sensei phil]: i'd be looking forward to it! looks really good and funny

2008-02-05 [Linn Scarlett]: Oeh its looking good :O I can't wait for sunday, giev comic! 10 feb is nearly on my birthday ^_^

2008-02-10 [Hendercrazy]: Woohoo! First strip has arrived!!! *bounces* :D

2008-02-10 [Yncke]: *bounces along with [Hendercrazy]* Yay! :D

2008-02-10 [Paul Doyle]: Beware the Monty Python "Trojan Rabbit".

2008-02-10 [nehirwen]: *bounces along with the rest*
Lol! <img:44166_1164903263.gif>

2008-02-10 [Hedda]: First blood! <img:44166_1164557401.gif> <img:stuff/yurispirateemotionarr.png>

2008-02-10 [nathie]: hehehe! :)

2008-02-10 [Nocturnaliss]: Ahaha I love the cocoa birds XD and yes, you got the first one colored! Awesome. he really doesn't look like he cares much about his job... I love him. XD

2008-02-11 [Hedda]: The format in the presentation of the comic doesn't really fit. There is a problem to fit many strips on this page and the strips are too wide for anything but a huge browser window. And if the strips aren't presented on different pages, it's hard for people to link to a particular strip.

I tried out to do like this: <URL:_Spazznik1> (Spazznik1 [edit]) (I've submitted the first strip many times as there is only one.)

The problem there is that it's not possible to comment on the individual strips. I can fix that eventually, though.

2008-02-11 [Hedda]: It's a little more work to update the comic though and the strips has to be announced on this page too.

But just edit the previous page, change the numbers in the links and page-name and the URI to the image and submit.

2008-02-11 [Hendercrazy]: Hmmm. I was going to try running something like 24 comics on this wiki page... then store them into an archive wiki. I'm still very new to creating wikis. :) The comics are rather big. I always forget I have widescreen. O_o

2008-02-13 [Hendercrazy]: Second comic now up! :D

Hey Hedda... thanks for the assist! :) I'll see if I can figure your set-up out. ;)

2008-02-13 [Paul Doyle]: Step Three: create a pond around the castle and hire the services of a friendly Moat Monster or two?

2008-02-14 [V Sama]: It's very well done. Reminds me of Haggard the Horrible or Wizard of ID

2008-02-14 [windowframe]: H4 tag doesn't work. You need H1, 2 or 3. :)

2008-02-14 [Hendercrazy]: Ahhh... thanks [windowframe]! I soooo suck at this wiki stuff. XD

2008-02-15 [Hendercrazy]: I'm trying out [Hedda]'s suggestion he kindly offered to help display the comic. Should be easier to browse and read this way. :) Though I think I'm going to design an image to help point out that they need to go to the link to read the comic.

2008-02-15 [travs the bean]: looks good derek- i like the comic feature here

2008-02-17 [Hendercrazy]: Third slice of Spazznik now up! :)

2008-02-17 [Yncke]: lol! Nice one!

2008-02-17 [nehirwen]: lol. xD

2008-02-17 [Hendercrazy]: I've now added the "Newest Spazznik Comic" feature to the wiki for your viewing convenience! This is so anyone who *gasp* faithfully follows the comic... won't have to scroll through the entire catalog of strips every time I post a new one up. ;)

2008-02-17 [nathie]: good idea with the "latest comic" here on that page!" i love it so far! :)

2008-02-17 [Hedda]: Shouldn't he have a bow or crossbow instead of a spear? <img:stuff/sutN.gif>

2008-02-18 [Hendercrazy]: This is part of the fun... you don't know what he has. XD

2008-02-19 [Paul Doyle]: Perhaps there's a giant Q-tip on the opposite end of the spear? :B

2008-02-20 [Hendercrazy]: LMAO! XD

2008-02-25 [dangur the druid]: Woot! First one done. Looks awesome dude!

2008-02-25 [Hendercrazy]: Thanks Dan! It looks like you've missed the link to read the comic from the start... only the newest comic is posted on this main page!

2008-02-26 [dangur the druid]: DOUH!

2008-02-27 [Linn Scarlett]: DOH they are briliant ^_^ did you wind up coloring them digitally or manually in the end?

2008-02-27 [Hendercrazy]: Thanks Linn. :)Currently I'm coloring them traditionally. I'll be going back and recoloring them digitally once I get my scanner converted over to PC.

2008-02-28 [Dark Side of the Moon]: Derek, what are you using to colour these? And what do you use to outline the line art? I'm trying to illustrate a children's book at the moment but can't find the right medium to do it in. The smoothness of your artwork looks like what I'm aiming for but am falling very short of. <img:stuff/mood16-gif.gif>

2008-02-28 [Hendercrazy]: I'm using Tria Pantone markers by Letraset. Be warned though... they're quite pricey. O_o

Believe it or not... the line art for Spazznik is actually pencil! I use a hard lead (2H) and then photocopy the original for coloring. Under normal circumstances though... I would ink with Sakura Micron pens on vellum. :)

2008-02-28 [Dark Side of the Moon]: cool beans! There aren't anyDick Blick art stores around here anymore so I guess I'll have to do a little hunting for those markers. Thanks a lot!!

2008-02-29 [Hendercrazy]: You can order from their website Melanie! http://www.dickblick.com/

2008-03-01 [windowframe]: Featured Wiki! <img:44166_1164145221.gif>

2008-03-03 [Hendercrazy]: Woah! Coolness. :D Guess that means I better finish up comic number four like... well, yesterday! :)

2008-03-03 [Nocturnaliss]: Well deserved <3

2008-03-03 [Paul Doyle]: Dick Blick! *snicker*

2008-03-03 [Dark Side of the Moon]: ahaha! I looked up the Tria markers at the Dick Blick website. They're selling a set of 298 for $999.00! YIKES!! I know you said they were expensive but I didn't think they'd sell them for body parts, ha ha! sheesh... <img:stuff/mood4-gif.gif>

2008-03-06 [Hendercrazy]: Yeah... they're bloody expensive. That's what you get with top of the line "Pantone calibrated color" markers.

2008-03-06 [Paul Doyle]: Too bad they didn't have umbrellas in the Middle Ages *snicker*

2008-03-06 [Yncke]: Whoei! :D New comic!

2008-03-06 [Hendercrazy]: Umbrellas exist... the gnomes just haven't introduced them to the masses yet. :P XD

2008-03-07 [Nocturnaliss]: Ahahaha that new one is great XD

2008-03-09 [Hendercrazy]: I've now added a poll just to see what you guys honestly think on the first few strips. Please vote if you get a chance! Thanks!

2008-03-09 [nehirwen]: *does the first voter dance*
voted for A) of course! <img:44166_1164903263.gif>

2008-03-09 [Hendercrazy]: *Joins in on the first voter dance with [nehirwen]* Woohoo! Thanks! *Then loses cool points after attempting to do the "Moon Walk" and falls over backwards*

2008-03-09 [nehirwen]: nice move :p (although I can't dance either xD )

2008-03-10 [organicparadox]: hey bro quick question (long time, btw:)... is there any reason why you colour this comic with markers as opposed to digitally. my only critique would be with the lack of vibrant colours due to the scanning translation. your style brings me back to the great flow of sergio aragone's groo the wanderer which i like, but seems like it would shine so much brighter with the colour correction that pc's provide. i think i am rambling again.... there's a reason why i don't type often...

anyway, one artist's style and creative process that i love is www.thenoobcomic.com . stylized but with color that doesn't go against the grain of the "feel" of tha art. much love. please continue to give me something to be inspired to do my own art. ~jason

2008-03-10 [Yncke]: Actually, I like the colours as they are. They reflect a bit of the dusty dullness the guard is experiencing, in my opinion. :)

2008-03-10 [Hendercrazy]: My original intention was to color Spazznik digitally from the very beginning. Unfortunately, as I'd stated up in the wiki some time ago... I have a scanner conversion issue right now. So, until I get that taken care of... I'd decided to color it traditionally and snap it with a digital camera (in the mean time)... just so I could at least get the project moving forward. :) I will be going back and recoloring them digitally. Trust me in that what you see now is NOT the final version of the comic. They're more like extreme rough drafts right now. ;)

2008-03-10 [Stratakus]: That makes it look just like I'm reading it out of a news paper.

2008-03-10 [Hendercrazy]: Really? So you guys like the traditional look (outside of my bad photography that is)?

2008-03-10 [Stratakus]: Yeah. It's a refreshing look. Traditional is the new Original.

2008-03-10 [Hendercrazy]: Tell you what... I'm working on some spot art I was going to toss up here in the wiki. I'll go all out and traditionally color it how I was planning to color it digitally... and we'll see how it turns out.

2008-03-10 [organicparadox]: yeah man, my preference is digitally colouring, but i think my opinion is 'coloured' (cough, pun) by my inability to colour with any traditional method myself aside from watercolour. i never tried colouring any of my art until i got a pc. you seem accomplished at alot of mediums though sooo.....

all that said, i think Spazz will ultimately tell you what he wants. his character/temperment, your graphic style, and the scenarios he finds himself in will give you enough clues as you enjoy your creation to let you know what's best:)

/disclaimer for the future: i play's devil's advocate and instigate.  alot. but only with people i like.

2008-03-10 [Hendercrazy]: XD That's cool. Well, Spazznik is an experimental comic. So this comic will be changing and evolving over time. Just didn't realize the coloring would be one of the topics. XD To give a little bit away though... there are some new characters that will be joining ol' Spazznik besides just those cuckoo coacoa birds. :P

2008-03-10 [Stratakus]: I like the inked/water colored look because it looks like a comic that was made to be in the papers, or in Dragon Magazine (Rest it's papery soul)

2008-03-11 [Paul Doyle]: That makes me think of Snarfquest, back in the day in Dragon magazine . . .

2008-03-12 [Nocturnaliss]: I have to join the crowd and say I do like traditionnal colouring, myself. It's just... more real, more true, if that makes any sense. XD

2008-03-13 [Paul Doyle]: I do traditional coloring only for these reasons: (1.) I want to get better at the "fundamentals" before I touch digital art, and I don't feel I'm there yet, by a long shot; (2.) If you rely too much on digital techniques, traditional-technique skills (which are the default, after all) suffer. (3.) I have neither the time nor the money to buy and master a decent digital art program---I can't make heads or tails out of GIMP, either. Seems like a Rube Goldberg contraption next to the for-profit programs, and apparently a Rosetta Stone is required to help fully decipher the GIMP @__o

2008-03-13 [Hendercrazy]: The new Spazznik spot art is now up! :) Hopefully folks won't miss the link to the Spazznik archive. ;) Unless they just don't read what Spazznik is saying... XD

2008-03-13 [Hendercrazy]: Well here's my dilemma with traditional vs. digital...while I enjoy coloring traditional and think it has a warmer, more personal feel (and would look a ton better if my scanner was ready to go); it's also more time consuming and currently costing me money for photocopies and those bloody markers for each comic I do. Not a good thing while my money situation is uber ultra tight.
Digitally speaking, it's much quicker to color, can look top notch professional and I could still give it a warm feel. I've already spent and arm and a leg on my art programs anyway... so I might as well use them, right?

2008-03-13 [Yncke]: @[Paul Doyle], concerning 2. I notice the other way round too. People coming from traditional painting who just continue applying their tradditional approach, while you can do so much more and differently digitally, and mimicking traditional effects, while digital is just another medium. Which brings me to 1: why wouldn't one be able to learn the fundamentals from digital? The principles are the same.

2008-03-13 [organicparadox]: i like to use the medium that best suits the art that i do. if i am doing fine art, one shot images..... i'll use anything from oils to toothpaste to goldleaf. if i am making art that is serial or sequential and is not intended as a graphic novel, i would use whatever medium will help me put out the most art, of the hoghest quality, in the shortest amount of time. its hard to quantify, but that's the way i look at it.

2008-03-13 [Stratakus]: Tooth... paste?

2008-03-13 [organicparadox]: anything with pigment is fair game as far as i'm concerned:) i did a mural for a club once with toothpaste and tide with bleach liquid detergent. wasn't a permanent installation, so anything that washed off the walls was ok with the owner. tide glows pretty good under a blacklight

2008-03-13 [Dark Side of the Moon]: Old makeup is good for soft dreamy artwork! Use eyeshadow and blush. Works great. No lipstick, liquid foundation, eyeliner, etc. I think it may crack over time.

2008-03-13 [Stratakus]: Make more comics. do it or face my wrath. I have wrath to frighten the whole Greek Pantheon. Now hop to it. Chop Chop.

2008-03-14 [Hedda]: I took these photos tonight:
http://www.linkmeet.com/_vg37
And don't you think that
<img:http://www.linkmeet.com/stuff/z/1/vg37/p1010019.jpg?r=l&x=300> looks just like Spazznik!

2008-03-14 [Stratakus]: Imagine if someday people actually officially cosplayed as Spazznik!?

2008-03-14 [Hendercrazy]: I laughed so hard at that pic!!! XD That's awesomely funny! :P You know... that might make for a great Spazznik contest! :D Maybe whoever designs the best Spazznik costume posing as Spazznik will win some signed Spazznik swag or something. Not sure if anyone would interested in such a thing. The winner would also have to be permanently displayed right here on the Spazznik page too! :P

2008-03-14 [Hendercrazy]: Oh, and never fear Stratakus... I'm working on the next strip now. :)

2008-03-14 [organicparadox]: hedda, the pic is priceless man. all that was missing was the broom handle in lieu of a spear:)

looking forward to your next strip hender. be nice to see you do an expose' on your creative process too if you ever get bored. show how you go about doing what you do and your methods.

2008-03-14 [nathie]: hahaha! that´s priceless! :) a real life spazznik! i just love it if fictional characters become real!

2008-03-14 [Paul Doyle]: Wow, he looks like the second coming of Don Knotts.

2008-03-15 [Hendercrazy]: OP: Are you sure you really want to see how I slap these together? O_o XD

Paul: He looks more sure of himself in that pic than Don Knotts. :P

2008-03-15 [Paul Doyle]: <img400*0:http://www.geocities.com/alcus2/don_knotts__.jpg>

There are some eerie resemblances, though.

<img:http://www.linkmeet.com/stuff/z/1/vg37/p1010019.jpg?r=l&x=300>

2008-03-15 [Hendercrazy]: Here we go... Creating_The_Spazznik_Comic

2008-03-21 [Hendercrazy]: It's been a bit quiet here on the Spazznik front as I've been really busy preparing for my trip to Belgium to see my girlfriend [Nocturnaliss] as well as prepping my house for my house sitter and our return visit. However, I'm still looking to finish the fifth comic before I leave April 6th. I will be returning at the end of April. :)

2008-03-21 [organicparadox]: enjoy a well-deserved break, spazz and us will be here when ya get back:)

2008-03-21 [Hendercrazy]: A big thanks to all who've voted in the current Spazznik poll. :D Now that I've had a chance to review the poll results in both this wiki and in my ET House... it seems that most folks overall have enjoyed the start of this comic. So, once I return from my vacation... I'm planning to make additional time for the Spazznik comic. :) This should allow me to make these on a more regular basis. :D

2008-03-21 [XxTsomexX]: Woohoo!!

2008-06-11 [Hendercrazy]: I've finally returned with some news. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with Spazznik for the time being. I'm not saying it's finished... but I'm not saying it's going to update either. I'm taking my next step in life thanks to some recent life experiences. It happened quite unexpectedly. It's a good thing (believe me [please worry not])... but things have changed here quite a bit. I'll be sure to let you all know what I decide to do exactly once I've had enough time to figure things out. Thanks! - Derek

2008-06-11 [organicparadox]: gl with it bro. fill us in on the details when you feel comfortable.

2008-06-11 [Hedda]: Spazznik is getting married! <img:img/mood/61513_1174777570.gif> <img:stuff/mood36-gif.gif> <img:45154_1117568632.gif> <img:44166_1164099989.gif> <img:61691_1132936287.gif>

2008-06-11 [organicparadox]: CAT OUT OF THE BAGG!!!!!!FSFL:KJHSLKJ

2008-06-11 [Stratakus]: Damnit. We're never going to see another Spazznik comic ever again if that's the case. First come Love, Then Comes Marriage, Then comes a ball and chain on the part of his brain that will allow him to draw the comic. Not calling her a ball and chain of course, referring more to writers block.

2008-06-12 [Paul Doyle]: Never say "never". I've been married 11 years, my wife and son are fully aware of what I write and draw (well, there's plenty of stuff Patrick isn't old enough to know about yet!) and I still produce the stuff. Sometimes it's agonizingly slow because real-life demands take precedence (I will not do artwork and writing at the expense of my wife and son!) but the real-life experiences also give you a tougher resolve to do your best, in the limited time you do have. Marriage does not lead to a creative Armageddon.

2008-06-12 [Hendercrazy]: I won't deny that marriage is a longterm goal of ours (Issy and mine). XD :P There's also not going to be a ball and chain keeping me mentally locked down. A big chunk of this new step is actually art related. Just not sure yet on how my new scheduling is going to play out for sure. Spazznik might end up just continuing to be my "breaks and lunch" project at my day job. We'll see how things go the next few weeks. The only thing I know entirely for sure right now is that I will still be a regular here at Elftown, my house will remain active and my Art Journal (the diary) will still update. ;)

2008-06-12 [organicparadox]: groovy:)

2008-06-12 [Dark Side of the Moon]: I second that "groovy" :)

2008-07-06 [Hendercrazy]: I now have a badge/banner thingamajig for Spazznik! You're all welcome to use it if you wish. I'll get it and the code tossed up in the wiki eventually. :P <img:http://elftown.eu/stuff/SpazznikBadgeBanner.gif>

2008-07-07 [Dark Side of the Moon]: cool! *steals*

2008-07-13 [Hendercrazy]: Spazznik #5 is almost here! :P The coloring is now complete. All that's left is the digital capture and lettering it. :) I hope to have it up sometime on Monday. ;) Don't forget... you can also see the making of this strip over at the Creating_The_Spazznik_Comic wiki. I'm also well underway on pencilling Spazznik #6. Yes, I know!!! Progress! Can you believe it? XD

2008-07-13 [Hendercrazy]: BTW, if you're really bored surfing ET today... come see the Spazzicons! Not Transformer related (unfortunately). << :P XD

2008-07-13 [Paul Doyle]: Spazzicon sounds like a good name for a Decepticon with Tourette's syndrome.

2008-07-17 [Hendercrazy]: As some may have noticed... Spazznik #5 is not up yet. Sorry for the temporary delay. I've spent the last few days reconfiguring my set-up and lighting for taking snapshots with the digital camera. It's been frustrating, to say the least, getting glares and fuzziness in the pics of the comics. That has now been fixed and the quality is much better. Especially without the glares! Back to lettering now. The comic will be up Saturday or my name is "Flop-in-the-mud". *nods* :P

2008-07-20 [Hendercrazy]: Whew! As per my comment above... my name won't be Flop-in-the-mud! XD I got the new Spazznik up!!!

2008-07-20 [XxTsomexX]: yay ^^ its up!!

2008-07-20 [NamelessMerc]: w00t! Sorry, random geek-out. Love this comic strip.

2008-07-20 [Nocturnaliss]: Hah, poor Spazz XD he just can't get a break. ... or maybe the problem is that his job is like a loooooong break. XD

2008-07-22 [NamelessMerc]: Thanks ^_^ I think I'm watching every Spazznik page... *Random stalker-like tendencies*

Nah I'm kidding, I just love it. The quality of the strip is amazing.

2008-07-27 [Hendercrazy]: This makes two late Saturday/Early Sunday Spazznik updates in a row now!!! <img:stuff/SpazznikAstonished.gif> <img:stuff/SpazznikAllSmiles.gif>

2008-07-27 [Yncke]: I like the dry 'Coo!' in the last panel, the perfect finishing touch to the pointe!

2008-07-27 [nehirwen]: Loved that too :)
Again a nice episode! :D

2008-07-28 [nathie]: cool! :)

2008-07-31 [Hendercrazy]: I don't want to give anything away... but the introductory strips are almost done. Some interesting things will be coming up for our favorite Nik that's spazz in nature. :D

2008-08-24 [Hendercrazy]: Spazznik # 7 is now in the blue pencil stage. :)

Also, I now have set plans to revamp comics #1 - #6 to digital color (like I'd intended from the beginning) now that I have my scanner back available.

2008-08-25 [Dark Side of the Moon]: oh, what's wrong with the markers? Or is painting it digitally just easier?

2008-08-25 [Hendercrazy]: I'd originally intended it being digital from the start... only I didn't have my scanner then. So I started it up with marker just to get it moving.

Cheaper is another reason. The markers I use are over four bucks a pop. Plus I spend a buck on photocopies of each strip. That adds up when you're a little short on cash. My photoshop is already paid for.

I'll be able to save quite a bit of time with the strips. Less clean-up, no more set-up time snapping it with my camera and the coloring will be slightly faster.

I'm going to experiment though on giving it that "newspaper look" that the marker versions had. Except I should be able to make it consistent this time around. :)

2009-01-14 [Madhalf Heatlump]: Awesome stuff!!!
I really like it!

2009-01-15 [Hendercrazy]: Thanks! :) Unfortunately, I've shelved this project for the time being... I'm inking a comic project.

2009-01-15 [Madhalf Heatlump]: lol... Like that's a problem?

Is the new project yours?

2009-01-15 [Hendercrazy]: No, the new project is sci-fi thing developed by a friend. We've assembled a comic team together though and are all chipping in with ideas and such. :)

2009-01-20 [TheRogue]: I hoped the lack of new comics was that you finally hit the big time with all that talent, bud!

but... this works too! can't wait to see your new stuff!

2009-01-20 [Hendercrazy]: Thanks Rogue! :) I'm not sure where this new project is going to take us. I'll be sure to post any latest info in my house. :)

2009-03-27 [Easterling]: Ha ha, this comis is great! :D

2009-04-01 [Hendercrazy]: Welcome Easterling! :)

2009-04-02 [Hendercrazy]: Newsflash!
