2011-07-15 [Duke Devlin]: I'd suggest you try to report stuff more, if you see it, and generally just be good around Elftown, rather than focusing so heavily on badge-hunting. :) That will make the time pass more quickly to when you perhaps do earn the badge.

2014-07-27 [Mortified Penguin]: I agree with me! I've done more for bug finding than pretty much everyone but [Hedda] and maybe one or two others. And when it comes to general Elftown exploration, I've probably actually outdone [Hedda] at this point. It's almost insulting to only have a plain Master Inspector badge after all the work I've done in these areas. Even a Great Master of Inspector badge would be underwhelming. Give me the credit I'm due. I mean, of all the badges on Elftown, there's not one I deserve more than the Greatest Grandest Master of Inspection badge. Except maybe the vice mayor badge.

2014-07-27 [Mortified Penguin]: Plus, these awesome badges exist, but they never get used or displayed. Give them a chance to be seen and loved. They deserve it.

I've had the stage two badge for years and I've reported close to 100 issues since then. xD

2014-07-27 [Mortified Penguin]: But what's the point in having these special versions of badges if they're impossible for any regular member to ever get? And where's the harm in being less strict with badge promotions? I think it would actually really help member morale and make people feel more special and accomplished for their work.

2014-07-27 [Stephen]: Honestly, I've thought that before myself.

Still, it's something that needs to be discussed with the Council. It's a slow process getting opinions and thoughts from the whole - not because people aren't taking part, but we need enough people online to be able to hold conversation - that's the hard part. Even smaller things can take a few days to get done, just because of the slow rate of communication.

Believe me though, we're all interested in increasing both moral and participation.

2014-08-05 [windowframe]: It's because last time I tried to update it or something, Hedda insisted he wanted to handle the bug reporting badges, since he knew what reports were most useful, etc. So uh. <_< Several times I trawled through the bug forum and gave him a list of who had reported, and how many times, since we'd last updated people's badges, but he never did anything with it. There's quite a few people who don't have the badge at all and should have it, and lots who should have theirs upgraded.
